Sarajevo ’84’s new single, “MR MISFIT” (Wild Punk Records, 2025), is a song that exudes a British sound in the style of Franz Ferdinand or Wet Leg.
Mr Misfit is a song that explores the inner struggle of those who feel misfit in a world that seems to have no place for them. Through sincere and emotive lyrics, the new song by Sarajevo ’84 narrates the experience of people who have difficulty relating, sometimes resulting in disorders such as anxiety, panic or phobias, having to resort to substances in search of relief.
Musically, the song stands out for having a sweeping rhythm, with powerful guitars and a chorus of the most choreable, with a style that can remind us of indie rock bands such as Bloc Party. With an enveloping production by Carlos Hernández Nombela, it is not only an anthem for the misfits, but also an invitation to empathy and understanding. It is accompanied by a music video starring Jim Henson-style dolls, directed by Nacho Montes.
This song will be part of Sarajevo ’84‘s second LP, consisting of 10 songs, which will be released on vinyl next May.
Mr Misfit can be enjoyed live on the concert tour that the band will announce soon, on the occasion of the release of their new album.
