Urgent (Spanish version), single by Foreigner. What can I say, it’s Foreigner? And it works. If you like “Urgent” in English, you will love it in Spanish. The instrumentation and composition seems more sophisticated. It is more three-dimensional that than the original (which has nothing to do with the lyric language). It feels more filled out, more attentive to detail and tone and mood. Richer. I love it. Stream on Spotify and all major platforms. Spanish.

Wings, single by Iluka. The female power anthem by Australian-born, US-based singer Iluka is closing in on 5 million streams and for good reason. It is urgent, powerful, soulful, demanding. It is both an earworm and a stake in the ground. This is definitely a hit Replay song. Stream on Spotify and all major platforms.

Anything for You, single by Irene Diaz. The Queen of Beautiful Music brings us another heart warmer with her unique voice that slides under your skin and into your head, leaving a trail of happiness along the way. With a retro 50’s feel you can slow dance around the floor to this song with your lover, dipping and swirling, encased in romance. That is what Diaz does – music that encases you in romance. Stream on all major platforms.

She Will Be Loved, single by Maggie Szabo. Performed with DANZR, “She will be Loved” is both sweet romance and uppity pop – a nice combination from a pro who knows both well. She contrasts the two styles beautifully into a sweet earworm confection – sweet to hear, sweet to song along. Stream on all major platforms.

Pipe Dream, single by Guitarricadelafuente. With vocals that weave throughout a jazzy, rocky, intense composition in English and Spanish, he brings stirring guitar melodies, a nod to folk traditions, and urgency (different from that o the Foreigner song , above). The musical tapestry behind him is a complex combination of cross beats that supports his storytelling and then rises into sax-driven jazz rock. An exciting transition that sets him apart. Stream on Spotify and major platforms.

Estaciones, single by Madame Recamier. Dreamy, lilting, nostalgic. Recamier has a way of creating what feels like memories in your mind with her music, although they may be hers, or no one’s. The song creates a “last time we were in Paris” feeling of misty love in the deep past, and soft joy in the presence. Brilliant. Stream on all platforms
BONUS: Paper Doll. Album by Samantha Fish. The blues rock powerhouse bring us a collection that will snap your head around and blow your mind.
