Rock, blues, ballads, bun...especially fun with Blue-eyed Man by Las Chorizeras and Ja Mandei Flores by Ruido Rosa. Plus Lana de lRey's latest

100 Songs, albums, videos submitted this week for review.

Blue-eyed Man, single by Las Chorizeras.  As a blued-eyed man, I have to say I loved this song.  It has humor, pathos, victory, and is really, really fun music that blends blues, country, and a bit of pop.  So much fun you will hit replay.  Stream on Spotify and major platforms.

Blue Banisters, single by Lana del Rey.   A jewel-like song that is pure del Rey. It tells an interior and exterior story, holding you close as a witness to her thoughts, her feelings.  Del Rey modulates her voice, pulling you in with a feeling of an old, wise child you just want to hold, but also hold at arm’s length while you listen.  Amazing how she can generate emotions and just carry you with her.  Beautify.  Stream on all major platforms. Check out the full album of the same name.

Noche Estrellada, single by Taiana. Puerto Rican songstress Taiana aims to broaden the scope of Latin R&B and this song does just that.  Delving into sultry neo-soul and alt-disco this song shows off  her range and charisma.  Dreamy, animated, nostalgic, modern.  Her voice is hypnotic, the trap beat taps your feet, while the musical environment she creates with either a synth or gongs (can’t tell which but itis beautifully done) is a like a waterfall of stars.  Stream on all major platforms. Spanish.

300 Noches, single by Belinda.  Starting slow and almost like a cabaret number, but then 300 Noches evolves with the addition of the voice of  Nathanael Caneo in a conversation over a strumming guitar.  They bat their relationship lyrics back and forth and into duets, but always with a Autum in Paris feel. Lovely.  Stream on Spotify and major platforms. Spanish.

Ja Mandei Flores, single by Ayra So Ares  and Ruido Rosa.  A fun sort of tango with lots of detours and accents.  I have never heard anything like this song, and I can’t listen to it sitting still, plus I have to smile –  it tickles me at several levels.  Stream on Spotify and major platforms. Spanish

Esta vida no es vida,  single by Ingrid Conteras. A melodic, swaying pop-ballad-regional song sung with a voice that is both angelic and very, very human.  Conteras transcends the Mexican regional  genre, but pulls you into it.  Blissful to listen to .  Stream on major platforms.  Spanish.

BONUS.  Anything for you TikTok video by Irene Diaz https://bit.ly/3SBJarS
