BLOOD OF LIONS Unleashes Powerful New Single

[Loveland, CO; June 20, 2025] — BLOOD OF LIONS has arrived with a thunderous new anthem for anyone who’s ever had to burn it all down just to rebuild. Their sophomore single, “Empires (Beauty In The Ashes),” out today, captures the raw, emotional turbulence of starting over—and the strength it takes to rise from the rubble.

At the core of Empires is a message of transformation. “It’s about the dichotomy of beauty and pain that lies in tearing down a previous foundation of life in order to build a healthier, stronger one,” says frontman and founder Jonathan Lee. “There is always beauty that grows from the ashes of destruction, and in that we can be sure.”

Set against a backdrop of crushing riffs, soaring vocals, and incendiary drums, the track paints a vivid picture of fire not just as a force of devastation—but one of refinement. “We all have the choice,” Lee explains. “The fire is going to rage on regardless. So let it burn, refine, and then start to build that Empire.”

“Empires (Beauty In The Ashes)” is the second single from BLOOD OF LIONS, the project born of Jonathan Lee’s return to music after nearly a decade away. The song stems from a collaboration with powerhouse producer and co-writer Cory Brunnemann (Through Arteries) and drummer Patrick Madsen (Nesdam, Zahna, Random Hero). The previous single “Built For The Moment” has gotten radio airplay in markets like Chico, CA; Cheyenne, WY;  Columbus, GA;  Pierre, SD;  Kalaheo, HI;  Sheridan, WY; Neillsville, WI; Marinette, WI and Whitesville, KY among others on the strength of the song (no campaign).

BLOOD OF LIONS doesn’t just write songs—they create sonic battle cries for the broken and the rebuilding. With anthems that reflect life’s scars and the strength found in the struggle, the band stands as a beacon for anyone ready to forge something stronger from the ashes of their past.

“Empires (Beauty In The Ashes)” is available now on all streaming platforms.
