Hadeland, Norway [2025-07-10] Norwegian jazz funk collective Polyphonic Exophilia is ready to unveil their third studio album, Love! Liberty! Resistance!, set for release on August 15, 2025. Known for their dynamic approach to music that fuses jazz funk and sensually progressive neo-soul, the band has spent years defying musical boundaries and refining their sound. Their latest album is a fearless expression of artistic freedom, offering an innovative mix of genres, potent political themes, and a resounding call for resistance against authoritarian forces.
In anticipation of the album, Polyphonic Exophilia will release their provocative standalone single, “Make Truth Dangerous Again,” on August 1, 2025. The track – first available on all streaming platforms – serves as a direct and impassioned introduction to the themes that underpin Love! Liberty! Resistance!. The album’s overarching theme tackles the pressing issue of authoritarianism, offering a musical reflection of society���s growing struggle to preserve free thought and individual freedoms. Following the digital release, a limited cassette of “Make Truth Dangerous Again” will drop, while the full album will receive a vinyl release later this fall.
Visually, Love! Liberty! Resistance! makes a bold statement thanks to striking artwork by Norwegian artist Håkon Holm Olsen, whose work captures the defiant energy of the album. The cover art for the single “Make Truth Dangerous Again” was designed by the band themselves, and they have partnered with videproducer and multimedia artist Emanuel Venancio to create visuals for the tracks that challenge conventions and spark thought.
