Fullness is the first full-length LP by singer and songwriter Marcus I and producer aDUBta, following several previous releases together. There’s a special feeling when everything falls into place: when the drums flow naturally, the bass moves steadily, and a bright guitar cuts through the warmth of analog tape. That feeling became the heart of the album.
The sound of Fullness is built on simple, living elements: real drums, deep bass, a warm sound, and melodies that leave space to breathe. The musical journey moves between early reggae, rocksteady, and roots—sometimes direct and solid, other times expanding into dub and echo.
With Marcus I’s voice, Fullness conveys messages of gratitude, love, freedom, and the small moments that make up everyday life. While his vocal style nods to the great singers of the genre, Marcus stays true to his own experience, perfectly complementing aDUBta’s production and giving him the space to shine.
The album explores different moods and atmospheres: the sunny groove of Upfull, the cheeky swing of Mr. Bossman, the soulful depth of Your Love, and the reflective calm of Streets At Night. Each track has its own light, yet all belong to the same sonic universe.
The title says it all. Fullness is about fullness: of music, of life, of friendship, and of gratitude. It’s what happens when music becomes more than a project and turns into a shared space where everything flows naturally.
