ARTIST NAME / SONG TITLE / AMOUNT OF YOU TUBE PLAYS ON CHART PUBLICATION

1 Ottokar’s Sky – Tunnelvisions (52)
Top tune released back in June. Has a bit of a classic DFA feel to it but housed up a bit more. Well worth a listen.
2 Never Forget The Killings – Tanzania Albinism Collective (121)
The artists are exactly as described and it’s a terrible fact that throughout Africa Albinos are suspected as witches and murdered. So this song is a plea for mercy that we should all pay attention to.
3 Born Shit Stirrers – (Redux) (131)
Brought to our attention by Losing Today – bunch of expats go mad Discharge, Exploited style in Japan and somehow it works.
4 Psykick Holiday – Numbers (132)
This one turned up as an email this week and we’re growing quite fond of it. One of those out of time songs that will never make it but it doesn’t distract from the fact it’s a very catchy little number.
5 Eric Copeland – Fresco (144)
One of those funky off kilter house tunes that we love here at BOP. If we had a needle in 2018 it would immediately be returning to the beginning of the record as soon as the groove ran out.
6 Shogun and the Sheets – Pissing Blood (222 )
It’s song title of the week and you’d expect it to be Norwegian death metal but it’s actually closer to Boz Scaggs mixed with the Editors !
7 Just The Right Height – Alone Fashion Style Like it Heart it (274 )
So totally New York, it hurts !
8 LA Salami – England is Unwell (483)
He’s spot on with both song and title.
9 Oh! Dirty Fingers – Trip To Cairo (918)
New band out of China. High energy and not half bad.
10 TONY JOE & THE MOJOS – BAD MOUTH (997)
And yet another legend departs this mortal coin. Sadness at BOP. We first heard him in 1987 whist smoking Charas on a houseboat in Kashmir… i did my best to steal that cassette.
