About Charley Geary
Charley Geary is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and producer
whose music blends synthpop, ambient pop and ethereal soundscapes.
Born in Tampa and raised in Ybor City by a Cuban and Puerto Rican family,
he moved to Los Angeles at eighteen to pursue entertainment, performing
in nightclubs and theaters, appearing on television and hosting pride
festivals.
His first dance single, I Love Love, led to a creative partnership with
Michael J. Carpenter and Juan Loren Zerimar. Their long-shelved project
now emerges as Eternal Voice, completing a musical journey begun more
than two decades ago.
THE ALBUM
Recorded in Los Angeles between 2000 and 2003 on a vintage TEAC eight-track reel-to-reel, Eternal Voice was
nearly complete when Charley Geary suffered a breakdown, was hospitalized and was diagnosed with Bipolar I
Disorder. The project remained unheard for almost 25 years.
Preserved by Geary and longtime partner and co-producer Michael J. Carpenter, the recordings were finally
completed in 2025-2026. The result is not a dark chronicle of illness, but an uplifting, deeply personal work
about love, survival, self-examination, spiritual searching and the endurance of the creative voice.
