Koreakumbia, single by La Coreañera. Join the party! A song with a simple message:  get up, dance.  The blend of sonidera-style accordion, brass, percussion, keyboard/organ textures, and piano is not only a way to bring La Coreañera’s classical background into a tropical setting,  it is just plain fun.  Ignore all the culture conversation about it in the media and just dance. Favorite Girl, single by Aliina Castillo. A nice, compact, English-language pop single from a Houston-raised singer-songwriter known for her Spanish music.  It’s up close and personal,  with soft-edged vocals,  diary-like songwriting, and  pop/R&B production that is melodic, with the vocal placed at the center.  You can put on headphones, close your eyes, and just sway to the music. Una Pal Otra…single by  Estevie and Emmanuel Cortes.  I am not usually a fan of M/F duets, but this one works,  maybe because it is a regional Mexican duet built around cumbia tumbada.  This allows it to be a dance-oriented blend of cumbia rhythm and contemporary regional Mexican style.  A nice blend that blends the two voices s so they become something you want to hum during the day.  Stream on major platforms.  Spanish.

Delirando, single by Angélica Garcia, Xinobi, Sinego. Very creative, very energetic electronic dance number, which will test your dancefloor endurance at five minutes and 41 seconds. Truly Music Sin Fronteras, it is a Spanish-language electronic collaboration by Mexican producer Sinego, Portuguese producer Xinobi, and Mexican-Salvadoran American singer Angélica Garcia, so it crosses three different musical fronteras—Mexico, Portugal, and the US Latinx indie world. Garcia’s vocals add a human, sensual element.  Stream on major platforms. Spanish.

Dejalos (Handanu’s remix), single by Elsten Torres.  If you follow Torres, you know he is a two-time Grammy nominee and a prolific songwriter for the top talent in the Latin and English worlds.  This is actually a remake of his 2026 lite reggae song, but it is totally different. “Handanu’s remix of ‘Déjalos’ takes Elsten Torres’ reggae-rooted Latin-rock groove and makes it global with a contemporary rhythmic pulse and area-filling chorus. I love it.  It is an earworm – I can’t get it out of my mind, and I want to get up off the keyboard and dance.  The soaring elements make me feel like I am in an arena.  Another Elsten Torres hit.  Stream on major platforms.  Spanish.

Mentirasmentiras, single by Utra Girl with Buscabulla, Chromeo. A early release from their upcoming RRRomeo album, this is hypnotic – one more reason why  Girl Ultra (aka Mariana “Nan” de Miguel) is an important face of Mexican pop.  Ambitious and sonically adventurous, it is definitely not the soft, intimate R&B Girl Ultra is known for. Teaming up with Buscabulla’s Raquel Berrios and the electronic producer Chomeo, she has delivered a dark, slower-burn electronic-pop that combines a heavy, physical bass line, lush synthesizers, hypnotic mid-tempo rhythm, and dreamlike melodies.  You can dance to it or get high and get lost.  Either way, it will surround and capture you.  Stream everywhere.  Spanish.
