Jo James is an Americana, soul, and blues-rock artist based in Austin, Texas. Raised in Perris, California, he discovered his love for music at an early age and began playing drums in church, where he learned that sincerity matters more than perfection.
After a season of personal struggle, faith, and healing, James relocated to Austin and found a deeper connection to his songwriting. His music blends blues grit, soul warmth, and honest storytelling, exploring themes of hope, redemption, family, and the human experience.
At the heart of it all, his mission is simple: tell the truth in his songs and help people feel a little less alone.
