CD Review: In The Name Of Freedom – Richie Onori’s Blues Messenger

Richie Onori’s offering of old school rock and roll rhythms and gut busting guitar riffs blended with an “All American” salute to this great country is a rare treat today. When most artists try to find something wrong with the USA, he has found a place in our hearts where a fire and passion for old glory still burns strong.

All political opinions and no matter where you stand, one thing is evident, Richie Onori stands up and stands strong as the voice of a man with deep love and concern for his home and his nation. The musical component is strong in composition and has an 80’s rock feel, but is not old and dusty, it is modern, rich and vibrant. In addition to his obvious mastery of music, his voice captures the sentiment in his vocals and is a call to arms, not focusing blame on the establishment or the people of this great country, but has heartfelt opinion of what is the cause of the dilemmas facing us in these troubled times.

With songs like “Power to the People”, “Long Live Rock”, “In The Name Of Freedom” and “Come Together We’re the USA”, Onori poses a question, “where do you stand”, not to question loyalty, but asking ethical questions, while entertaining the notion that freedom is not free, and we may be slaves to the masters we created, in the government, in the Skyscrapers and on the TV sets we are hypnotized by.

A definitive album by a fabulous artist and true American Spirit, all politics aside this is an album to get, listen to and treasure. You can Find Richie Onori at https://www.facebook.com/richieonorimusic and at his website www.richieonori.com to get this Great American Anthem Album of 2014!
