LIKE A STORM to play Dirt Fest with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, POWERMAN 5000 and more.

New Zealand hard rockers Like A Storm are confirmed to play this year’s Dirt Fest, one of Michigan’s most popular festivals. Hosted by Banana 101.5, the 16th annual Dirt Fest will take place at the Birch Run Expo Center on August 9th.

In a recently released article, festival owner and organizer Matt Dalton expressed that “For Dirt Fest 2014 we wanted to make the lineup something different and special,” You don’t get much different or more special than three brothers all the way from Auckland, New Zealand rocking out a midwest North American stage with a didgeridoo! Their latest attention grabbing single, “Love The Way You Hate Me” skyrocketed to the number 1 spot in their home country before catapulting across the North American sea and airwaves into the number 1 spot on satellite giant SiriusXM Octane for five straight weeks. Like A Storm is the first New Zealand based band ever to break the top 40 and right now the single is at #34 and climbing.

With an unforgettable stage show and a dulcet combination of crushing baritone guitar riffs, ambient textures and triple vocal attack; Like A Storm will sweeten the lineup kiwi style this year at Dirt Fest 2014.

General admission and V.I.P. tickets are currently available. V.I.P. ticketholders gain early entrance to the festival, access to a special bar area where the bands will spend time, special restrooms, raised seating and an event t-shirt. Like A Storm will be available for onsite interviews at the festival, please contact ebony@streetsmartmktg.com to set up your time with the band.

Since their debut album, The End of the Beginning  in 2009, Like A Storm continues to build a compelling musical catalogue. Five years of relentless touring has seen them share North American stages with rock giants Creed, Korn, Alter Bridge, Five Finger Death Punch, Shinedown and many others rightfully earning them a reputation as one of rock’s hardest working bands. Originally formed a world away in Auckland, New Zealand; Like A Storm will continue hitting the road in support of their forthcoming sophomore effort, due out later this year.
