Violates Violets Release the Official Music Video for Soft Core
In this video from Violates Violets, Directed by Chris Edge we see the conceptual imagery of, as described by the band, “An isolated, quietly desperate modern man dreams of stardom and plays a concert for the city before befriending, and eventually murdered by, a stalker fan. The Inspiration for this video is by the drive of forgotten dreamers who often receive their one moment for the public, only to be ruined by that same public.”
The video for Soft Core, while not showing this in it’s imagery, shows the introspective and symbolic being lost in the world you create for yourself, the dark city streets, the seeming loneliness of a singular existence, being everywhere and nowhere, to “walk alone”. There is a beauty in the music and also a somber darkness, the video does well in combining the talents of the musical performance and the lyrical genius of both guitarist Jay Katana and vocalist Chris Edge, whom have officially united to for the group Violates / Violets after coming off a string of solo projects to create a new sound which blends the adrenaline rush of street racing with the balls to the wall attitude of 80’s metal.
Both Chris and Jay played together in bands For This Day (and) Sin. Now, two brothers in music reunite to record full length album “the Split”, which is going to be produced by award-winning producer Luke Campolieta. The full album will be released early in 2020.
