“This is such a thrill for us to be able to entertain these children, put a smile on their faces, and hopefully, help them forget their illnesses for a little while”, says Dr. Izzy (Inez Morrison), who fronts the Denver-based blues band on lead vocals with her husband, guitarist-vocalist, Robert Morrison. She adds, “the message throughout our album is, ‘stand as strong as you can in the face of adversity and hardship, and fight life’s struggles with everything you’ve got. You never know what can happen until you give it your best shot.” Dr. Izzy, a practicing chiropractor and cancer survivor, is also blind, and has been so since age nine. The band’s sound – described as ‘Blues-icana’ – blends elements of both blues, rock, and americana music. Their most album recent release is titled Blind And Blues Bound, produced by Kenny Passarelli (Joe Walsh, Elton John, Stephen Stills, Hall and Oates) and Clark Hagan, and featuring blues legend, James Cotton.

Seacrest Studios, opened in June 2014 in conjunction with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation (RSF), was named after its benefactor, famed TV and radio personality, Ryan Seacrest. The studio is part of an entertainment initiative Seacrest and his family developed to help patients explore the creative realms of radio, television and new media. The RSF aims to contribute positively to the healing process for children and their families during their stay, as well as to bring an uplifting spirit to the hospital community.
