The California Beer Festival goes Country this year, and moves to a great big new location: Plaza Park, 651 E. Thompson Blvd. Once again, spread over three big days: Friday, September 16 (5:30 pm-8:30 pm); Saturday, September 17 (12:30 pm-5 pm; and Sunday, September 18 (11 am-6 pm). In keeping with the yearly tradition, a portion of Friday’s proceeds benefit the Gen Giammanco Foundation, an organization that provides financial support to student-athletes to assist in their pursuit of both scholastic and athletic success in Ventura County. A portion of Saturday’s and Sunday’s proceeds benefit the Downtown Ventura Organization to foster a vibrant commercial and cultural district.

Start your weekend off at our Food & Beer Pairing Competition! Takes place Friday, September 16 at City Hall overlooking Downtown Ventura. Five Brewmasters will be paired up with Five Gourmet Local Chefs, competing for your palate and vote ((or) “Best Food & Beer Pairing.” This VIP event includes food samples, beer, live music and (1) CBF souvenir pint glass. Must be 21 years of age or older to attend.

Concluding Ventura County Beer Week with a bang is the legendary California Beer Festival (CBF), at our new location: beautiful Plaza Park in Downtown Ventura. Come experience Craft Beer Heaven with beers on tap, food trucks and live music throughout the day. This is a chance to expand your mind and educate yourself on new and old styles of Craft Beer. VIP Session begins 11:30 am, General Admission Gates 12:30 pm, Beer Sampling from 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm). Also, Tribute To Prince featuring music by The Purple Ones (10-piece Band).

Sunday is the CBF Debut of the Boots & Brews Festival headlined by Country Music Star, Joe Nichols, known for hits like “Tequila Makes Her Close Fall Off” and “Sunny and 75.” Bring your chairs and blankets, and kick up your cowboy boots at this family friendly event! Food and ice cold Craft Beer will be available for purchase. Children 12 and under free. Space is limited.

Saturday features music by The Purple Ones (10-piece Prince Tribute Band).
