New Artist “Darth Nater” Releases “Junior”
New York based singer/songwriter Nate Noworyta, AKA “Darth Nater” has composed a new full-length album a third album in the catalog. This new and latest album “Junior” was released on December 16, of 2016.
“With this record, largely influenced by the Mountain Goats, I wanted to craft a series of lyrically dense story-songs filled with detailed imagery and characters. Musically, it is rooted in indie rock and folk, pulling from artists like Say Anything, The Front Bottoms, American Football and the Smiths. The album explores themes of nostalgia, escape and disillusionment.” Said “Darth Nader”
Junior was engineered, mixed, written and performed by myself, and mastered by Dave Riffel at Upper Story Studios in Niagara Falls, NY.
“Junior” is an amusing romp through the mind of a modern artist with something to say. The album is an honest view of life, with images of growing up in America. With self analysis, a little self loathing but no self pity, Darth Nater aka “Nate Noworyta” has much to offer. “Junior” it is nice venture into experiments with sound and layered rhythms , a bit folk, a bit punk, it is what we all think, but Nate has put it into Sound and Vision, a vision of what he sees as a personal anthem of the modern youth’s merge with obscurity and the way home from the cell phone mind slaver.
I hear, in my opinion, in his music the voice of a man who sees the ridiculous nature of people to become “Sheeple”and he wants to cry out “Be Yourself, unless that means you’re lifeless jelly, then be something different, be something better”
I wonder if this will ever come to Vinyl, I could see this being a breakout hit in the collections of the modern Audiophile.
