Silverstein Release New Acoustic EP

Silverstein New Acoustic EP Available Now

When Broken Is Easily Fixed 15th Anniversary Tour

This November w/ Hawthorne Heights, As Cities Burn, Capstan

Post-hardcore heavyweights Silverstein have released a new acoustic EP. The album is comprised of stripped down versions of two tracks from their recent full length Dead Reflection, which was released earlier this year via New Damage Records (Canada) & Rise Records (rest of World)’. The Afterglow / Aquamarine EP is now available everywhere to stream, here. Purchase, here.

Dead Reflection is the culmination of Silverstein’s sonic growth and the personal journeys entangled in the band’s 18 year career, so the shift to a reflective sound on the new EP felt appropriate. Vocalist Shane Told says, “it’s not easy to take a screaming-heavy hardcore part and turn it into an emotional part that your Mom would be into, but we love that challenge.

It’s cool to see a song that’s only ever been thought of one way in a completely different light.” In order to honor the original songs that represent a tumultuous year for the band, they got producer Derek Hoffman back at the helm and spent time to make truly special versions of them.

Silverstein will also embark on a North American tour this fall, but this is no ordinary trek. The band will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of its landmark debut album When Broken Is Easily Fixed. They will perform two sets each night on this run. One set will feature the band performing When Broken Is Easily Fixed in full, followed by a second set of “greatest hits.”

Special guests are Hawthorne Heights, As Cities Burn, and Capstan. The tour kicks off on November 9 in Detroit and runs through December 15 in Toronto in the band’s native Ontario.
