Celebrated Artist Efrat (aka Efrath Shapira) Releases Her New Emotional Video “Let Go” For World Mental Health Day To Remind Others That They Are Not Alone

Singer-songwriter/instrumentalist Efrat is releasing the official music video for her emotionally-driven song “Let Go” from her poignant new EP WE JUST NEED LOVE for World Mental Health Day (Sunday, October 10). Available now at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rA85R5gNAaA, Efrat explains that the inspiration behind the song came to her during the pandemic right after the struggle to diagnose and treat her son’s rare heart condition had reached its culmination.

“We spent the first night of the pandemic in post-op at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. During that previous year-and-a-half, I had met so many other heart warrior families and realized how many of us MUST Let Go of our plans and embrace what life gives to move forward and thrive. Now that my son had his surgery, we thought it was supposed to be our time to move on. But, the pandemic was upon us and everything had shut down. This taught me that when it seems like life gets in the way of life, you must Let Go… of expectations, of anger, and sometimes of the unwillingness to fail.”

Efrat did all of her own videography, much of it in her car on the way home from gigs. She produced and edited the video in her home editing studio in Woodbridge, NJ.

Additionally, Efrat will perform “Let Go,” as well as the rest of the EP, during a special online event Wednesday, October 27 at 7 PM ET. Featuring special guests, she will also play some of the most requested songs from her past albums and unveil the title track music video from her EP WE JUST NEED LOVE. With topical themes including the urgent need for love and understanding, standing up for our rights, the fear of losing those closest to us, and even a meditation song to remind us all to stop and breathe, WE JUST NEED LOVE has been hailed as an album of the times. In fact, the EP has resonated so well that it was in the Top 10 of the Folk Alliance International Folk Chart for the month of September, with two of its songs – “Which Side Are You On?” and the title track – charting in the Top 10. Efrat was also named one of the Top 10 Artists for September.
