Luna 13 to headline The Satanic Temple’s Saturnalia Festival in Denver, CO 12/17/22

Cleopatra Record’s Luna 13, Bass Metal pioneers who were co-support for Christian Death, Suicide Commando, Das Itch and Hocico in the last few months will be headlining The Satanic Temple Colorado’s “Saturnalia Festival” in Denver CO 12/17/22 at the Marquis Theater.

Luna 13 is currently creating a new genre of blackened music called Bass Metal. The Saturnalia Festival seems to be a fit as Luna 13 has a deep history with Satanism, which led them to have a short clip in the documentary “Hail Satan” and the majority of their lyrics spit out by horned frontwoman Lilith Bathory are on the horror side of things.

“So how to put Luna 13 in words? Luna 13 is almost impossible to describe. I hear “black acid metal”, “blackened bass music”, “Bass Metal” and many more. They are otherworldly, extremely dark and a sound that is smooth as it is brutal. I would consider them a cross between “Deicide” and “Author and Punisher” with the most seductive female front on the planet who has a venomous voice. Yet their originality has no bounds and they are a serious upgrade for blackened electronica. I felt like I fell into a black widow’s web and couldn’t wait to be eaten. Rumors are starting that a new brand of metal is coming forth from them called “Bass Metal”. The words don’t describe their power yet it’s a truthful tag. Watch out for these guys as they mean business and could be dominating the underground scene in no time. Luna 13 is earning compliments like “the best live performance I have ever seen.“
