Interview with Trace of Lime

Please describe to our audience how you came about on the music scene and what is the biggest difference between your first piece of music to your latest! 

Being part of the music scene is easy when it’s all you do with your time. Go out to shows, make music, hangout with musicians.

Every record, we’ve made moves in a slightly different direction. We are always finding something new that we get excited about.

What are you doing to push a positive message as the year comes to an end and is there a new beginning coming up with this new year?

As this year comes to an end, we are actually trying to push more of a negative message. The only beginning coming up is the beginning of twice as many negative messages.

Are there any rituals you have developed over the years that are helpful for any upcoming changes happening? 

Spaghetti night for everything. And Chinese food on Thursdays from the blue food truck.

George Bush jr. could be my dad. When I found out, it changed everything.

Could you talk about an obstacle that you persevered through?

Coping with the realization that I very well could be the son of George Bush jr. really had me. That would be so wild.

How do you think these experiences have helped you shape your career and approach your music? 

I wrote a whole album about it. It’s called ‘The Son of George Bush jr.?’. I made 10 copies of it on CDs and hid them in random books at the library. Then I destroyed the computer I made it on. So if anything, these experiences have just cost me a ton of time and a computer. 

How do you continue to develop your community of fans over the years? 

Playing live and meeting people is the only way we know how.

Thank you for sharing all your music with us! Can you give us any exclusive on more music coming up?

We got all kinds of squishy tunes coming out this year. We are going to release some stuff that we have been recording ourselves. We are doing some touring this year too!
